Ahmed Hussein

Consultant with the Arab Digital Expression Foundation (ADEF). Hussein is an ICT expert with over twenty years of expertise in Europe, Middle Eas and Africa in several ICT areas, such as: Strategy formulation and strategic planning within regulated environments; carrier, service provider and enterprise networks' architecture and design; information technology solutions' architecture and design; Operation Support Systems/Business Support Systems OSS/BSS planning and management; open source software and information security. Earlier in his career he worked as technical manager in Geganet, that got acquired by TEData which became Egypt's biggest ISP. He worked with TE Data for 8 years filling multiple technical positions. Hussein is a co-founder of Open Egypt and through it has led the civil society's role in the development and implementation of the national strategy for promoting the adoption of open source software.
